ABOUT THE GAME
A familiar challenge.
A fresh desktop.
Deskbound brings open-field tower defense to a modern browser. Place your own towers and shape the route, instead of building beside a fixed path. Every new weapon is a choice about both firepower and space.
The game is inspired by Desktop Tower Defense, created by Paul Preece and The Casual Collective. Deskbound is an independent recreation with newly written code, original graphics, and synthesized sound effects. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official release from the original creators.
Built around the maze
Nine tower types, six levels per tower, and 50 waves give you room to experiment. Boosts reward careful placement. Flying creeps test your air defense. Armored, splitting, and hopping enemies push you to rethink a comfortable layout.
Drawing rows, queuing purchases, automatic upgrades, and enemy inspection help you spend more time planning and less time clicking. Four modes range from a single entrance to a well-funded Sandbox.
A game you can simply open
Deskbound runs in your browser. There is no installation, game account, or purchase required. The game is single player, and a run lives in the current page rather than a cloud save.
